Support International Women’s Day by bringing domestic violence to a halt

From an email I recieved recently:

We’re writing to call on you to get involved in our campaign, Bell Bajao (Ring the Bell), calling on men and boys to join women in bringing domestic violence to a halt.

As you know, Bell Bajao, has been already reached millions across India and is encouraging unprecedented engagement on the ground.  We want YOU to be part of the action to promote women’s rights.

Breakthrough is celebrating  International Women’s Day on March 8, by celebrating all those who are speaking out, through their actions, their beliefs, their music or art.

Join the blog action week from March 2 – 8 onhttp://www.bellbajao.org/blog.php and tell us your stories. Write about those people who support women’s rights either through their passion, their work or in their personal lives.

Stories can include photographs, videos and other visual elements to be posted online. Do include a short description of yourself as well (name, age, location, any additional details).

Funny or Sad? HR Manager tries playing Cupid!

This is absolutely NOT one of the key result areas of a HR manager.  

Our human resources manager recently asked if I would be interested in dating another employee who is also single. I told her that I have no interest in asking this woman out.

Satyam Trainer is one of the Top Young Trainer

According to this news item, its a round of good news for Satyam folks.

one of its employees Hirdesh Singhal has been named one of the top young trainers under the age of 40 by “Training” magazine.
Singhal from Satyam Learning World would be featuring in the May 2009 issue of the magazine, Satyam said in a communication to its employees.
He had conceived, designed and rolled out a 15-day Boot Camp for aspiring project managers. He also carried out a three-day workshop and a virtual programme held in association with Stanford University, called “Mastering Integrated Programs”, to train 75 programme managers in Satyam.
Besides, he also contributed towards the development of certification questionnaires. Almost all programmes and certifications used for project and programme managers have been developed in-house under his leadership.
