Books on my book shelf
Finished reading The Simoqin Prophecies and the sequel, The Manticore’s Secret. I’m hooked. Can’t wait for the third book to be released. Samit says it’ll be November, which might mean anything (or nothing
Also finished reading The Hobbit. Thank god, the language was not as foggy as LOTR. Really wish I had read the books in order.
Currently reading Shalimar the Clown. I like Rushdie. Loved Midnight’s Children, Haroun…. as well as Fury.
Got lots of other books, including some old Agatha Christie’s Poirot series, Sherlock Holmes, 41 short stories by O. Henry amongst others.
The Landmark in Chennai has the best graphic novel collection I have seen. I was so confused I did not buy anything
Movies I have to watch
Spider-Man 3, even though GreatBong said this about it.Hollywood effects and Bollywood sensibilities? Sounds like Paisa-Vasool
Life in a Metro – For lots of reasons, like Shilpa Shetty, Konkona Sen Sharma, Irrfan Khan, Kay Kay Menon, Sharman Joshi and Shiney Ahuja. Not really the Kangana gal, though. But I love her totally non-disguised UP accent. Way to go, gal !
